Instructional League Prek-2nd Grad - 2025-2026

Instructional Coed Basketball League – Pre-K through 2nd Grade

Our instructional coed basketball league is designed to provide young participants with a fun, engaging, and educational experience that supports both their athletic and personal development. By combining structured instruction with enjoyable activities, this program helps children build fundamental basketball skills while fostering a lifelong love of the game.

Open to children in Pre-K through 2nd Grade, the league will be held on Saturday mornings from December through February at the Armory. Each session offers a balanced mix of skill-building exercises, age-appropriate drills, and interactive games, all delivered in a supportive and encouraging environment.

Participants will:

Learn the basics of basketball, including dribbling, passing, shooting, and teamwork.
Develop sportsmanship, confidence, and social skills through positive interactions with peers.
Gain the opportunity to make new friends and enjoy regular physical activity in a fun, structured setting.

Our goal is to create an environment where children feel encouraged to try new skills, celebrate their progress, and develop a strong foundation for both basketball and personal growth. This league is perfect for first-time players and those looking to enhance their early basketball experience in a nurturing and inclusive setting.

House League - NAYBL 2025-2026

North Adams Youth Basketball offers a fun and supportive recreational league for boys and girls in grades 3–8. Our program is built to help kids improve their basketball skills, respect the game and their coaches, and embrace the values of teamwork and sportsmanship—all while having a great time.

Our mission is to give young athletes a place to grow both on and off the court. Through practices and games, we aim to:

Teach the fundamentals of basketball, including dribbling, shooting, passing, and defense.
Build respect for the game, coaches, teammates, and opponents.
Promote sportsmanship through fair play, teamwork, and learning how to handle both wins and losses.
Ensure every child has fun and enjoys the experience.

Travel League - NAYBL 2025-2026

Welcome to the 2025-2026 North Adams Youth Basketball Travel League!

We are excited to invite boys and girls in 3rd through 8th grade to join our competitive Travel League for the upcoming season. This program provides young athletes with the opportunity to enhance their basketball skills, experience the excitement of travel competition, and develop important life skills both on and off the court.

Program Highlights:

Travel Tournaments: Our teams will participate in several weekend tournaments throughout Berkshire County, giving players the chance to compete against a variety of teams and showcase their talents in a competitive environment.
County League Participation: In addition to tournaments, teams may compete in the Berkshire County League, playing scheduled games against local teams throughout the season.
Skill Development: The Travel League emphasizes fundamental basketball skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship, helping each player grow as both an athlete and a teammate.
Community and Camaraderie: Beyond the competition, the program fosters friendships, team spirit, and a sense of community among players, creating a fun and memorable experience for everyone involved.
Personal Growth: Players will also develop confidence, leadership skills, and the ability to handle both victories and challenges with grace—lessons that extend beyond the basketball court.
